Hwy 16

Lost Maples State Natural Area

Along the beautiful Sabinal River, with 2,100 acres with 10-1/2 miles of trails. Hiking, camping, picnicking, bird watching and sight-seeing. The best foliage after first frost at end of October or first of November and watch annual nature’s grand finale!

Hill Country State Natural Area

5400 acres of beautiful flora, fauna, bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, biking and more all just a short drive from Riverwalk.

The Medina River

Adjoining Riverwalk is the Medina River which flows to downtown Bandera’s city park. It’s the perfect place to float, tube, or kayak.


The Bandera ProRodeo is one of the finest in Texas and only two minutes from the entrance of Riverwalk.
