HWY 16

Known as one of the, if not the most, scenic highway in the state of Texas, HWY 16 brings joy riders, motorcycle enthusiasts, and car clubs alike to ride the hills and hairpin turns of Texas Hill Country.

Horseback Riding

Nearly a dozen dude ranches and horseback riding ranches, outfitters, and Hill Country equestrian facilities are enjoyed by visitors from around the world.

Lost Maples State Natural Area

Along the beautiful Sabinal River, with 2,100 acres and 10.5 miles of trails, the area offers hiking, camping, picnicking, bird watching and sight-seeing. The best foliage is after the first frost at the end of October or first of November, and you can watch annual nature’s grand finale!

Hill Country State Natural Area

Enjoy 5,400 acres of beautiful flora, fauna, bird watching, hiking, horseback riding, biking and more all just a short drive from Riverwalk.

The Medina River

Adjoining Riverwalk is the Medina River, which flows to downtown Bandera’s city park. It’s the perfect place to float, tube, or kayak.

Rodeos

The Bandera ProRodeo is one of the finest in Texas and only two minutes from the entrance of Riverwalk.
